Mercury is listed as one of the top six most poisonous metals on earth, with known human toxicity occurring at doses producing urine levels of 5 ug/L, or five millionths of one gram. Consider that a nickel weighs about 5 grams.

Take a wild guess what’s been in vaccines and amalgam dental fillings for years….toxic mercury!

The primary source of human contamination is right there in your mouth — dental fillings composed of an amalgam of various metals, almost 50% of which is the metallic form of mercury. Second, until recently, were vaccines. Third is the contamination of fish by coal-burning plants and the run-off of pesticides and herbicides from farmlands into lakes and streams, and the natural pollution of the seas from the sea floor. Because mercury is fat-soluble, it accumulates in the brain (60% fat) and other fat-containing tissue. Once in the brain, all forms (organic and vapor) are converted to the ionic form, which reacts with a number of important structures and chemicals in that vital organ.

Mercury has been linked with the rise in autism, alzheimer’s, lou gherig’s disease and even heart failure. Be sure to ask your doctor for a test to see how much mercury is in your system and for ways to avoid further contamination.

SalmonHere’s little secret your doctor probably never told you: a simple fish oil could be the key ingredient to a long, happy life. Omega-3.

The benefits of including Omega-3 into your diet are similar to infinity x’s 100, or at least close if you’re exaggerating, but it is very good for you. This miracle fat might not only prevent heart attacks and help you avoid a stroke — it could also protect you from depression and other brain disorders. Certain dietary fats can affect your brain chemistry and even bi-polar disorder has been linked to low levels of specific dietary fats…and can be treated by simple nutritional correction.

It’s no surprise that the diet of so many Americans today could use a major readjustment. What may surprise you is how much these bad habits are affecting the health and increase of disease as well!

Mountains of evidence clearly show that special fats known as Omega-3 Fatty Acids (or N-3 fats) greatly enhance the health of the brain, as well as virtually every cell in the body. Omega-3 fats are a group of polyunsaturated fats commonly found in plants, fish, algae and flaxseed. These
polyunsaturated fats are the “good guys,” while trans fatty acids (the partially hydrogenated fats found in vegetable oils) and omega-6 fats are the “bad guys.” One study found that consuming more Omega-3 fats actually boosted the brain’s levels of depression fighting serotonin and made brain cell membranes more effective, causing them to work more like young, healthy brain cells. Learn more about the benefits of Omega-3 and be sure to get your daily dose. Get to know Omega-3 and take your health hostage!
