Each year, more than a million people in the U.S. have a heart attack, about half of them die. Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the U.S.  Each year, over 700,000 people in the U.S. suffer strokes, and sadly, stroke is the 3rd leading cause of death in this country; it causes more serious long-term disabilities than any other disease. These are the stats from the National Institutes of Health!

Unfortunantly, most people will end up becoming part of these statistics unless we start seriously questioning mainstream medicine and money hungry drug companies.

For instance, we’ve been told for years that the primary cause of heart disease is an elevated level of cholesterol, due to poor eating habits and hereditary factors. We’ve been told to quit eating eggs, to start using polyunsaturated vegetable oils, to eat less fat, and to change over to soy products. And, of course, if all else fails, there’s the option of popping those cholesterol-lowering statin drugs.

People should be educated on what’s really going on with their health. Don’t be afraid to ask your doctor some hard questions. Dr. Blaylock has some great info on healthy ways to start preventing a heart attack. As always, do your research!

Vaccines have “conquered” disease, right?   Wrong!

vaccineMost people may have heard of few concerns when it comes to vaccines, but many have not adequately weighed the consequences. It is extremely important to really drill your doctor about the long term effects of taking vaccines. Growing evidence suggests that improved public health measures and nutrition — not vaccines — have led to a decline in infectious disease. It seems, not only are vaccines not responsible for the decrease in disease, but they actually cause health problems. Vaccinations have been linked to issues such as seizures, altered brain development, loss of brain cell connections, Lou Gehrig’s disease and even Alzheimer’s.

There are alternative and less risky ways to prevent your family from disease and sickness. The number one thing to keep in mind is diet and exercise – keeping your immune system in tip top condition. Learn more about the dangers of vaccines.

SalmonHere’s little secret your doctor probably never told you: a simple fish oil could be the key ingredient to a long, happy life. Omega-3.

The benefits of including Omega-3 into your diet are similar to infinity x’s 100, or at least close if you’re exaggerating, but it is very good for you. This miracle fat might not only prevent heart attacks and help you avoid a stroke — it could also protect you from depression and other brain disorders. Certain dietary fats can affect your brain chemistry and even bi-polar disorder has been linked to low levels of specific dietary fats…and can be treated by simple nutritional correction.

It’s no surprise that the diet of so many Americans today could use a major readjustment. What may surprise you is how much these bad habits are affecting the health and increase of disease as well!

Mountains of evidence clearly show that special fats known as Omega-3 Fatty Acids (or N-3 fats) greatly enhance the health of the brain, as well as virtually every cell in the body. Omega-3 fats are a group of polyunsaturated fats commonly found in plants, fish, algae and flaxseed. These
polyunsaturated fats are the “good guys,” while trans fatty acids (the partially hydrogenated fats found in vegetable oils) and omega-6 fats are the “bad guys.” One study found that consuming more Omega-3 fats actually boosted the brain’s levels of depression fighting serotonin and made brain cell membranes more effective, causing them to work more like young, healthy brain cells. Learn more about the benefits of Omega-3 and be sure to get your daily dose. Get to know Omega-3 and take your health hostage!
